Bible in American Sign LanguageNew ASL Bible

We have purchased the new ASL Bible that can be checked out from Jason & Sarah Andera. These DVDs show the entire New Testament in ASL. This project took more than 20 years to complete. Please go to http://www.deafmissions.com to get more information about these amazing DVDs.

Heartland Ephphatha Travels

Heartland Ephphatha went to Madison, South Dakota to have a signed worship at the SDAD convention. We invited Pastor Janine Rew-Merling from Milbank to perform the service. Pastor Janine signed the entire service and HEM members read scripture and signed songs. It was a great service; we appreciate Pastor Janine making the event very special. Heartland Ephphatha also set up a booth at the event and got some new members added to our mailing list.

Heartland Ephphatha has been busy advertising at various events. Recently, we've been at North American Baptist Seminary's Expose on Disabilities; South Dakota Synod of the ELCA Synod Assembly; SDAD Convention at Camp Lakodia; Women of the ELCA Medary Conference meeting and The Crossroads Pastors Conference. Heartland Ephphatha hopes to continue to spread awareness in the Deaf and hearing communities. In August, Heartland Ephphatha visited St. Stephen in Marshall, Minnesota to meet with their Deaf congregation for a signed worship and fellowship. Then in October, the South Dakota Synod celebrated Deaf Awareness Sunday.
